More Movie Meme Madness

Death in the movies. Like Death and Taxes, there’s no avoiding it. I guess I’ve been thinking about this subject, subconsciously, since like…forever. I distinctly recall one weekend a few years ago that triggered this; brought it to the surface. After participating in a fairly regular event in the blogosphere, one I very much look forward to. Another of Dennis Cozzalio’s semi-regular movie quizzes, in fact; fun as they are.
Finishing my summer of 2014 series, which was begun right here and chronicled my history with said device, examining the music that ended up on my iPod byway of the films that…
The second longest run during my term, and only behind Jaws for concession stand profit. And just like that film, the projectionists learned it quite well. In my case, that fact alone saved me and another worker.

This is the next entry in a Theatre… a Movie… and a Time, a series that was begun here. Returning to my theme for the month October, as a fan of monster and horror films since childhood, I thought to tie these memories within that genre. And I’ve waited to delve into this specific film for some time now. Especially, since a great deal of history lies in the attic with this one. Might as well have candlelight flare at this very moment.
Whether some things are doomed to failure because of bad timing on their release, or in combination with a lack of understanding by those (few) that…
