Many moons ago, I made a friend online, simply by the effortless act of starting a weblog. His name being Corey Wilde and he was the founding writer of the aptly named The Drowning Machine book blog. In this fast-changing, crazy world, he befriended this novice. He a Mensch of the highest order. His a calming voice in the ether via his writings, book reviews, and the class he exhibited in his deft comments. Only a few of these survive on the web because, sadly, Corey is no longer around online.
Never got the chance to meet him in person, as I have with others — I miss my friend, and his interaction. In response to a post by Mr. Wilde, and encouraged by another mentor of mine, Jen at her book blog, I decided to give this music meme a go way back in 2008. Still doesn’t seem that long ago. So, on this St. Patrick’s Day I’m reprising my answers here to keep his memory alive. If you wish to partake, please feel free. Corey would have appreciated it, no doubt.
