Richard Matheson was one of my favorite writers, both in print and for the screen. He will be missed.

The world is a little less colorful with Mr. Matheson’s passing.
I grew up admiring and basking in his work in television more than film. Especially is superb tales on ‘The Twilight Zone’.
‘The Invaders’ stands out for being the epitome of half hour science-fiction told in close to a completely reactive way. While ‘Death Ship’ excels in an ensemble atmosphere. And ‘Steel’ dissects the world of futuristic boxing. With a twist from Lee Marvin.
‘Duel’ rocks out loud. And his “I Am Legend’ bring out the best of Vincent Price in a suburban, medium budget tale. While one cannot do better than his very early, ‘The Incredible Shrinking Man.’
